2025 Killer Dunes 2-Mile Run

Finish off your Independence Day weekend by supporting an OBX treasure! Outer Banks Sporting Events invites you to run/walk/overcome two miles on Jockey’s Ridge, the tallest natural sand dune system in the eastern US! Attracting runners looking for a “unique” challenge (and drawing a very competitive field), we also welcome people to walk the course (not just a “walk in the park” though)! Proceeds benefit Friends of Jockey’s Ridge, a local non-profit dedicated to supporting, preserving and enhancing Jockey’s Ridge State Park. $5 Off for Active US Military and Veterans

Please Note: On-site parking is limited, so please carpool as much as possible on race morning.

Please Note: There will be no packet pick-up on race day!

Course Info
The Killer Dunes 2-miler will be professionally timed by Precision Race.

Water station near mid-point of the course. Dare County EMS will be on-call.

Please Note: Strollers and pets not allowed.

Awards
Finishers receive a finisher medal.

Awards will go to 2-miler participants in the following categories:

Top 3 Males Overall
Top 3 Females Overall
Top Males & Females in these age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Post-Race Party
All-American fare will be available after the race for registered participants only. Food, beer and fun!

Cost: 2 Mile Dunes Race (Age 17 & Up) $55, 2 Mile Dunes Race (Age 17 & Up) $30, fees apply
