May NC Reads Community Book Club: “The American Queen”

Dare Arts will be host Community Books Clubs this spring as a part of North Carolina Humanities’ statewide book club, North Carolina Reads.
Book club events are free and open to everyone. Dare Arts received a small batch of books from NC Humanities to give out to participants in the event. The May NC Reads Community Book Club will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, May 13 at Dare Arts. Participants will be discussing “The American Queen” by Vanessa Miller, which is a historical fiction novel that weaves together themes of love, hate, hope, trust, and resilience in the face of great turmoil. Attendees will be joined by special guest Founder and Executive Director of the Peace Garden Project Rev. Dr. Michelle Lewis.
