Perfectly Imperfect

From December to January, The Dare County Arts Council Vault Gallery will feature ocean paintings and shell portraits by Tamra Harrison Kirschnick. This exhibition was inspired by the ocean, shore, storms, wind, birds, and shells. In her work, Tamra studies the details of shells thrown on the shore revealing lovely planes and geographic shapes. Tamra gravitates toward the broken remnants with the unexpected holes and sharp edges and builds in the color with many layers of oil paint.
