Wind & Waves Maritime Festival will be at KOA Cape Hatteras, May 16-18, 2025. This is a FREE Family Friendly Event!

Hatteras Sailing’s 5th Annual Wind and Waves Regatta is in May again, where it should have stayed! This year the windward mark will be nothing less than the Spectators Floating Tiki Bar ! Talk about fun spectating! We also are merging our Saturday Fun Shoreside Activities with ShredFest !

Maritime Heritage Marketplace at the Rodanthe Community Center: Live Music, Oyster Shucking, and an exciting line up of speakers including Keeper James, Scott Dawson, and Tyler Kinnakeet Oysters – surrounded on all sides by our local Maritime Arts & Crafts Market featuring local Outer Banks vendors and artists.

Soundfront By The Boat Ramp: Get to know Hatteras Sailing and join in for Sailboat Racing, Hobie Cat lessons and rides, build your own boat contest, Paper boat races, Learn To Sail chalk talks, demo sails, boat tours and more.

Oceanfront Beach: Beachside Bonfire, Pamlico Deli barbecue, Endless Summer Surf Lessons, Learn to Surf Fish with Bill Crawford, Hobie Cat Surf Sailing, and a Sunrise Worship Service.

Saturday Shoreside Events at Shredfest: Outer Banks Boil, Bottomless Pints, & Live Music featuring The Simps on Saturday Evening.
All proceeds benefit Hatteras Community Sailing (Hatteras Sailing Organization)

The schedule is amazing starting Friday at 6pm with Pamlico Deli’s Beach Party Bonfire with live acoustic music and ghost crabbing contest at the oceanside stage. Saturday Festivities start at 12 noon with the Maritime Arts & Crafts Market and a full line up of activities on Four Stages:

• Maritime Market Right Off Highway 12 In The Soundside Lot: Live Music, Oyster Shucking, and an exciting line up of speakers including Keeper James, Scott Dawson, and Tyler Kinnakeet Oysters – surrounded on all sides by our local Maritime Arts & Crafts Market featuring local Outer Banks vendors and artists.
