The Ocracoke Island 14th Annual 5K/10K is on Saturday, April 26 at 8 am. This flat race course winds through the historic Village of Ocracoke, past the harbor and one of the oldest lighthouses in the U.S. All runners receive a medal and t-shirt (sizes not guaranteed after April 1). Awards will be given to the top overall and age group finishers. Stick around for the post-run party at 1718 Brewery starting at 10:00 AM with live entertainment and local brews. Bike and golf cart rentals available; limited parking near the start/finish line. Cost $45 to participate. FREE to observers.

The Second Annual Fishing Flea Market will be at Safe Harbor Outer Banks and the Wanchese Tiki Bar on April 26th from 8:00am-2:00pm. You are sure to find fishing, boating, and nautical items at this flea market. Expect to see some awesome items from Oceans East Bait and Tackle in Nags Head, Carawan's Custom Knives, Crooked Stick Fishing, Outer Banks Lure Company, and other local vendors and fishermen selling goods. There will be something for everyone, so come on down! All proceeds will be donated directly to Surfing for Autism! 

Come to Jennette's Pier on April 26th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for a very special event in support of OBX Room in The Inn, Dare County’s only homeless shelter. The evening will feature: Live music by Partly Crowdy; Delicious Hors d’oeuvres by Chef Wes Stepp & Red Sky; and exciting auction items! Bid on everything from local restaurant dinners and massages to family adventures, vacations, staycations, and exclusive experiences. 

Come to Roanoke Island Festival Park on select nights for the Bluegrass Island Nights concert series. On  from 7 - 9 pm, enjoy the music of ShadowGrass. With their fast picking and fresh arrangements, ShadowGrass is moving forward in the bluegrass genre by incorporating each member’s varied influences into a fresh project that branches outside the bounds of traditional music while maintaining traditional instrumentation. Doors open for each show at 6:30PM and the show starts at 7:00PM. Refreshments will be available for purchase including beer, wine, and snacks. Seating is limited to only 250 people.
