BIG 4 on the 4th Run

Barrier Island Group (B.I.G,) is pleased to announce their first Hatteras Island event – “4 for the 4^th.” – a 4-mile run/walk to kick off the 4^th July weekend. The event will take place on July 3^rd in order to cooperate with County EMS service. This change will ensure the safety of all our participants and lessen the burden on County services for the 4^th.

The run/walk will be held on Wednesday, July 3^rd at 7:00 am at the beautiful Kinnakeet Shores development in Avon. This event (which is sure to become a new holiday tradition) is a family-friendly 4 mile run or walk through the neighborhood with tree lined streets and beautiful lakeside vistas.  There will also be an “1776” (foot) fun run for children too young for the 4 mile event (child cost $15).

Registration for the 4 miler includes an eco-friendly reusable cup for use on the course and at the after party, a finishers 4^th themed wet towel to cool you down, an incredible finisher medal, a holiday themed soft style performance T shirt a delicious breakfast post-race party.
