Rededication of the Original Salvo Post Office

On behalf of a selfless local businessman, Alex Mc Clune & sponsored by the Salvo Fire Department under Mike Daugherty you are invited to join in the rededication of the original Salvo Post Office. Alex undertook the task of not only refurbishing the Post Office, he has collected a ton of artifacts from back then and has logged some fun stories as well.
The historic Salvo Post Office will be rededicated on Saturday, October 18, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Roth Road in Salvo. Sponsored by the Chicamacomico Banks Volunteer Fire Department, the celebration will feature live music, hamburgers, and hot dogs, and is an opportunity for the community to discover – or rediscover – Hatteras Island’s smallest landmark. This event is FREE and open to the public.
