10th Annual Miss Oregon Inlet II Kids Fishing Tournament

The 10th Annual Miss Oregon Inlet II Kids Fishing Tournament is the boat crew’s favorite trip of the season. The boat takes kids aging from 6-14 years old on a half-day fishing charter to catch pigfish, croaker, sea mullet, grey trout, pufferfish, spot and sea bass. After the fishing charter, we have a cookout with hotdogs, watermelon, chips, and of course, ice cream! We have an award ceremony following the cookout with awards in two age categories: 6-10 and 11-14. The awards are for most fish, largest fish and first fish! Everyone who participates in the tournament will get a medal, t-shirt, and fishing pole. It is a fun-packed day aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet II! (Cost is $55). Preregistration is required.

Parents do not accompany children. The crew takes extra mates to assist during the tournament. Children are separated into groups of 5 or 6 per fishing mate by age. They are assigned to their mate before getting on boat, board the boat with their mate, and stay in their group the entire trip. The groups sit together when participation medals, t-shirts, and rod and reel combos are awarded during lunch. Groups enjoy a picnic lunch and pictures of their group. All tournament proceeds go to Cross Trail Outfitters, a Christian youth hunting and fishing club under the national umbrella of Cross Trail Outfitters.
