15th Annual OBX Turkey Trot 5K & Fun Run

Show your thanks this Thanksgiving by running as a family in the 15th annual OBX Turkey Trot. Thanksgiving morning is a perfect time to be surrounded by family and friends in the beautiful town of Southern Shores. Lace up your sneakers and come on out to run or walk with us!  We have pancakes for all participants, one of a kind raffles, the first place male and female will take home our amazing Thanksgiving Pies specially made for your thanksgiving meal! Each finisher will also receive a finishers themed medal! Register online or at check in.

The OBX Turkey Trot is a 5k and children’s fun run to support the non-profit organization, OBX GO FAR (Go Out For A Run). OBX GO FAR  is a non-profit children’s program designed to fight childhood obesity by educating children on healthy habits and positive character traits all while training for a 5K or Fun Run.  Your support in our fundraiser event would help us scholarship more children into the program. This year marks our 15th Anniversary of OBX GO FAR and your support has touched the lives of over 10,000 participants in our program!

This is a family fun event, if you want to know your time wear a watch or make sure you look at the clock at the finish line! Parents are encouraged to come out and run with their children.

Cost: $45 for 5K, $25 for Fun Run or Virtual 5K (Price increases after November 26, 2024 at 11:59pm.)
