April NC Reads Community Book Club: “On The Swamp”

Dare Arts will be host Community Books Clubs this spring as a part of North Carolina Humanities’ statewide book club, North Carolina Reads.
Book club events are free and open to everyone. Dare Arts received a small batch of books from NC Humanities to give out to participants in the event. Although the books are free, they are available on a first come, first served basis.
The April NC Reads Community Book Club will be at 6:00pm on Thursday, April 10 at our Gallery in downtown Manteo. Participants will be discussing “On the Swamp” by Ryan Emanuel, which is a book that shares stories from North Carolina about Indigenous survival and resilience in the face of radical environmental changes. Attendees will be joined by special guest Gray Parsons, President and Founder of the Secotan Alliance.
