Bear Necessities Program

Discover why Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge is home to one of the largest populations of black bears in the eastern United States during this free educational program. Learn about black bear behavior, habitat, and conservation during a 30-minute presentation, then explore the refuge on your own to search for bears and other wildlife. Maps and guidance will be provided.
