Big Beach Sweep with Surfrider OBX

Give a little back to the beach during the Big Beach Sweep at Jennette’s Pier.

Jennette’s Pier and the Surfrider Foundation Outer Banks Chapter are teaming up for a morning cleanup of the beach surrounding the pier. Volunteers will collect trash and marine debris while helping protect one of the Outer Banks’ most heavily visited stretches of shoreline.

Event Schedule

9 a.m.

  • Meet at Jennette’s Pier.
  • Cleanup supplies will be provided.

9–11 a.m.

  • Volunteers spread out along the beach near the pier to collect debris.

11 a.m.

  • Cleanup concludes.

No special equipment is required, and cleanup materials are supplied by the organizers.
