The Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum reopens to the public on May 20 at 10 a.m. Operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free; however donations are welcome. Did you know that the North Carolina coast is home to more than 2,000 shipwrecks littered along the 80 miles of the sea shore? Museum exhibits tell both the tragic and heroic maritime stories of the Outer Banks. Come check out the museum’s new exhibits and shipwreck artifacts. You might even spot something from the famous pirate, Blackbeard!
