Guided Beach Walk with the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education
Discover the natural beauty of the Outer Banks during a Guided Beach Walk hosted by the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. This one-hour, family-friendly program invites participants of all ages to explore the shoreline while learning about the coastal environment.
Led by a knowledgeable instructor, the walk focuses on whatever nature reveals along the way—seashells, shorebirds, marine life, sand formations, and even the chance of spotting dolphins offshore. It’s a relaxed and engaging opportunity to learn more about the unique ecosystems that make the Outer Banks so special.
This program is FREE. Participants should meet at the public beach access on E. Corolla Village Road, across from the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, near the green sign by the boardwalk. Advance registration is recommended, as registration closes 30 minutes before the program if there are no reservations.
Perfect for families, nature lovers, and curious beachcombers, this guided walk offers a fun and educational way to experience the OBX shoreline.
