Manteo Made Owen Lauber Exhibit

During the month of April, Dare Arts Vault Gallery will feature Manteo Made, a collection of woodwork by artist Owen Lauber. The month-long exhibit includes a selection of furniture and homewares, many of which are made from locally downed trees on Roanoke Island. With simplicity and necessity in mind everything is made to be useful and beautiful, and each piece has a special connection to the area.

This exhibit reflects Owen’s multifaceted approach to woodworking. Items on display range from furniture to smaller more delicate homewares and accessories. Some pieces pair natural forms of the wood with other more refined components, while others feature clean lines with contrasting accents.

Plan to come during downtown Manteo’s First Friday festivities. This exhibit is free and open to the public.
