Winter Lights Illumination at Aviation Park

Park your car and stroll the path around the little turtle pond at Aviation Park. You’ll enjoy an assortment of light displays and walk under lights hanging from the trees. This is free to visit and will be lit through the end of December.

Don’t forget to drive by one of the Outer Banks’ most popular light displays is the Mennicucci House at 206 Clamshell Drive, right down the road from aviation park. The Mennicucci family adds something new each year. It is an impressive display of 70,000 lights, some of them dancing in time to music. The family also collects donations for the Beach Food Pantry. Last year’s donations totaled nearly $5,000. The display will run through New Year’s Eve. The lights go out around 9 p.m. on weekdays and a little later on the weekends.
