Winter Star Party

Jockey’s Ridge State Park and the OBX Astronomy Club will be hosting an evening under the stars. Telescopes will be set up for public viewing at the visitor center parking area. Table activities for kids will take place in the Community Room. Buckle in and let an educational video take you on a trip through space. Enjoy HOT COCOA while gazing at the stars! The Outer Banks has some of the darkest skies on the east coast, just perfect for star gazing!

Join in the fun by bringing your own equipment. Beginners are encouraged to participate to learn more about the night sky and how to choose the right telescope.  This event is free, no registration required, and open to all.
