Our family of producers join each market in person to share food and goods that they have grown or crafted themselves, here in Northeastern North Carolina. We are deeply committed to honesty and sustainability in our practices. Winter Season Markets are every first and third Saturday of the month December - April 5 from 9am -12pm.

Sweep the Beach Trash Art Contest Viewing

Kitty Hawk Kites and Dare Arts Council present the Outer Banks ‘Sweep the Beach’ Trash Art Contest! Submissions will be placed for viewing on the TrART Walk at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing from March 30th - April 21st. Pieces will be adjudicated and voted on for varying prize categories. Select pieces will be collected and moved to Jockey’s Ridge State Park for Earth Fair OBX, April 22nd, where winners will be announced at the Kitty Hawk Kites booth in Jockey’s Ridge State Park parking lot at 3:45 pm. 2025 Courtyard Installation: Aeronautical Sea Marks by Christina Lorena Weisner

Dare Arts Center 300 Queen Elizabeth Ave, Manteo, United States

Spring 2025 Installation: Aeronautical Sea Marks by artist Christina Lorena Weisner will be on display in The Dare Arts Courtyard. The installation will open at 6pm on Friday, March 7 and remain on display through May. This outdoor installation features several geometric structures made from lightweight, weather-resistant PVC pipe and deconstructed fabric from discarded beach umbrellas collected from local beaches by the artist. The cube-like structures vary in size, with some reaching up to eight feet. Their arrangement encourages viewers to move around and in between them, providing a dynamic experience of changing perspectives and spatial relationships within the courtyard. All of The Courtyard events are free, family-friendly and open to the public.

Alligator River Wildlife Refuge Tram Tour

Creef Cut Wildlife Trail Creef Cut Trail, Manns Harbor, N C

Join wildlife guides for a trip around the Alligator River Wildlife Refuge and learn about the plants and animals. Bring your binoculars and camera! Drinking water and insect repellent are also recommended. The program will not occur when there is lightning, heavy wind, heavy rain, or impassable road conditions. Dress for the weather!

The Alligator River Tram Tour is $10 per adult. Children 12 and under free with one or more paying adults. Reservation required, as tram seating is limited.

Statewide Star Party: OBX

Check out the night sky at the annual Statewide Star Party: OBX! This annual event will take place at Dowdy Park in Nags Head. Telescopes will be set up for public viewing. Out of this world educational arts and craft table activities for kids will be available from 5:30pm until 10 pm. This event is brought to you by a collaborative effort between Jockey’s Ridge State Park, OBX Astronomy Club, Back Bay Amateur Astronomers, Dare County Library, and the NC Science Festival.  This event is FREE and open to the public.

Performances of "Significant Other" will be held at Theatre of Dare in Kitty Hawk, with tickets ranging from $10 to $15. Season tickets are also available for $75. Tickets go on sale March 7. The cast includes Evan Tillett (Jordan), Debbie Taylor (Helene), Brandy Hayes (Kiki), Adara Huls (Vanessa), Paris Murray (Laura), Logan Stem (Will/Conrad/Tony), and Matt Gabbard (Zach/Evan/Roger).
