A producer-only farmers market in Wanchese featuring fresh produce, rotating artisans and so much more. Our family of producers join each market in person to share food and goods that they have grown or crafted themselves, here in Northeastern North Carolina.

During the month of April, Dare Arts Vault Gallery will feature Manteo Made, a collection of woodwork by artist Owen Lauber. The month-long exhibit includes a selection of furniture and homewares, many of which are made from locally downed trees on Roanoke Island. Items on display range from furniture to smaller more delicate homewares and accessories. Some pieces pair natural forms of the wood with other more refined components, while others feature clean lines with contrasting accents. Come during downtown Manteo's First Friday festivities. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Ascend Jockey's Ridge with a Park Ranger! As you hike, learn about the ever changing dune and its uniqueness. Enjoy the breathtaking ocean and sound views. It will be a lasting memory to treasure for years, and a great photo opportunity. Hikers meet at the Jockey’s Ridge park pavilion located beside the visitor center.
