Cost: Free; no ticket required

Enjoy a weekend of live jazz beside the Currituck Sound. The festival begins Saturday with a Concert on the Green featuring Adam Hawley from 4–6 p.m.

Return Sunday for national, regional, and local musicians performing on two stages. Gates open at 10 a.m., and music begins at 11 a.m. Food and soft drinks will be available for purchase from Duck eateries. See the event website for a full schedule.

Second Annual Firetruck Pull

Location: In front of Belk at the Dare Centre, Kill Devil Hills
Team entry: $210 per six-person team, free to observers

Cheer on six-person teams as they take on a firetruck-pulling challenge supporting the Colington Volunteer Fire Department and Beach Food Pantry.

Families are welcome to watch and support the competitors. Team check-in and on-site registration begin at 11 a.m.; the competition starts at noon.
