Cape Hatteras Secondary School 48576 North Carolina Hwy 12, Buxton, NC, United States

the CHSS Theater Arts class entered a national contest to be the first school in their state to produce Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: High School Edition. In January 2024, CHSS was selected to be the first in the state of North Carolina to produce Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: High School Edition.

About 50 students are involved in the production as cast members, stage managers, light board operators, soundboard operators, costume assistants and wardrobe crew. The carpentry class built scenery. Magic plays a large role in the play, so the students worked with illusionist, Eddie Haggerty, to learn up-close magic.
