Bodie Island Lighthouse Climbing

Bodie Island Lighthouse Climbing will be on Monday, August 19 at 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
and on Tuesday, September 17 at 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Tickets can only be purchased for the full moon climb starting at 7 a.m. on the day of intended climb. (Aug 19 and Sept 17). The cost is $10 for ages 12 and up, $5 for senior citizens and children 11 years and younger.
The Bodie Island Lighthouse has 219 steps from the ground to the balcony level–equal to climbing a 10-story building. The spiral flights of narrow stairs have a handrail only on one side. There is no air conditioning and no elevator in the lighthouse. It may be noisy, humid, and hot inside the lighthouse. Visitors with heart, respiratory, or other medical conditions, or who have trouble climbing stairs, should use their own discretion as to whether to take this tour. Climbers are encouraged to bring water in a non-glass, sealable container.
