Shuck, sip and support one of the Outer Banks’ most treasured landmarks at the first annual Shuck For The Ridge, a new fundraiser benefiting Friends of Jockey’s Ridge.

The event begins at 2 p.m. Friends of Jockey’s Ridge has not published individual start times for the live music, food service or silent auction; those activities will take place as part of the afternoon event.

MORE THAN AN OYSTER ROAST

Shuck For The Ridge is also a fundraiser for Friends of Jockey’s Ridge, the nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, protecting and promoting Jockey’s Ridge State Park.

The organization carries forward the preservation effort that began more than 50 years ago when community members—including Carolista Baum—worked to save Jockey’s Ridge from development.

Proceeds from Shuck For The Ridge help Friends of Jockey’s Ridge continue its work preserving and supporting the park for future generations.

Tickets: $80 per person. Seating is limited, and advance reservations are encouraged.
