This program at Jockeys Ridge State Park will introduce the trees of the park and their benefits to humans and wildlife. This arts and craft activity will allow participants to “twist” a tree and decorate it while a ranger discusses the importance of trees. Materials will be provided, and finished trees can be taken home.

Get out and explore Jockeys Ridge with a state park ranger on a 1-mile loop hike along the sound.  NC State Park's educational theme this year is "The Year of the Tree!"  You'll be able to learn about trees alongside local wildlife and the park's natural world. 

Ascend Jockeys Ridge with a state park ranger!  Along the way you can learn more about life on the dunes and just how unique the park really is.  The panoramic view will be memorable.
