Trick or Treat Around the Harbor at Wanchese Marina and the Landing Grill for the 4rd annual Halloween celebration. There will be something for the whole family. Enjoy food, a costume contest, live music, and trick or treat around the docks on Saturday, October 28, 2023 beginning at 4:00 pm.
In 1587, English colonists came to Roanoke Island. Night of 1587 Pumpkins is an event at the Elizabethan Gardens honoring the colonists. On this night 1,587 jack-o-lanterns are lit. The evening hosts trick-or-treating, costume contests, scream contests, and carved pumpkin contests. Everyone is encouraged to come dressed in costume to enjoy the festivities including dogs. Come to the Gardens and carve a free pumpkin October 25 - 27th or bring your own carved pumpkin(s) to the event!. Pumpkins will be added to the pumpkin path. In addition to the vendors, the Gardens will have glow sticks, hot chocolate, apple cider and s’more packs for the bonfire for sale. Come enjoy the festivities!
Calling all anglers! The NCBBA tournament features more than $10,000 in cash and prizes and hosts 400 anglers, both individual and in teams of 3-6. Participants are encouraged to sign up early to ensure space is available. The tournament entry fee includes a t-shirt, hat, and other goodies. Enjoy miles of naturally isolated fishing grounds along the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Anglers fish from ORV Ramp 23 to Ramp 38, and possibly Ramps 43 and 44, if judge availability permits. Anglers may fish where they please within the tournament boundaries, as there are no station assignments during the 60 hours of wide-open fishing. The banquet and awards ceremony is subject to restrictions based on state or local authorities with regard to group gatherings, depending on the Coronavirus status.

The 10th Annual Outer Banks Halloween Parade is a free, family friendly Halloween party for kids of all ages. This rain or shine event begins at 2:00 pm with trick or treating around the Aviation Park frog pond. Various decorated vehicles and props will be on display throughout the park for individual and/or group photo opportunities. A short walking parade of costumes starts at 3:00 pm, followed immediately by the judging ceremony. Awards for the Best In Show available for children ages 12 and under, 13 and over, and groups of two or more dressed in universally themed costumes. Those interested in participating can register on site at Aviation Park starting at 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 29, or pre-register online at obxentertainment.com/registration. Parking is free!

It will be a lasting memory to treasure for years, and a great photo opportunity. Hikers meet at the Jockey’s Ridge park pavilion located beside the visitor center.
