This art show is created to help cuddly pets stay with their humans in hard times. With the Animals in Art Show, together we can make a difference. Step back in history during this short walk to the actual site of the Wrights’ first powered flights!  Discover why the Wrights chose Kitty Hawk for their flight experiments and what life was like in the Outer Banks; learn about the events that led to the first powered flight on that cold December day, and the lasting impact their first flight continues to have on the world today.

Learn the techniques for creating voices for cartoons, video games, audio books, and more!
From vocal placement, script interpretation, diction, and character coaching, participants will come out with
a variety of vocal characters to enhance their resume, and the tools they need to become part of the world of voiceovers!

This workshop is for children in grades Six through Twelfth grades. It happens every Thursday, January 9 - February 13, 4:00-5:00 pm.

These specialized sessions help to guide older students in selecting roles that match their talents. Participants will receive original monologues, one comedic and one dramatic, written and tailored just for them. With focus on mastering the pieces, paying close attention to beats, timing, volume, and other essential skills required for a successful audition.

This workshop is for students in Six through Twelfth grades. The workshop includes six sessions, per student, beginning January 6 through February 14. Participants, and their families, will be able to schedule hour-long sessions that best suit their schedules.

In February Dare Arts Vault Gallery will feature a retrospective exhibit curated by Vice President, Rebecca Watkins and Board Member, David Beal. People that visit Fifty Years of Dare Arts, A Retrospective will be able to learn about the history of Dare Arts, including notable local icons Mollie Fearing and Frank Stick. The exhibit also highlights the many art events hosted in the community like Artrageous and Outer Banks Veterans Week, as well as programs like the Power of Art. Each panel is filled with photographs and interactive links where visitors might get a chance to see their favorite familiar faces from Dare Arts events over the past fifty years. Fifty Years of Dare Arts, A Retrospective will be on display in the Vault Gallery February 7-March 1, 2025. The exhibit is FREE and open to the public.

All the proceeds from the purchase of Greeting A New Day by Sue Wall will go to the Outer Banks Coastal Humane Society.10% of the proceeds from the show will go to the Coastal Humane Society.
