The 47th Annual Frank Stick Memorial Art Show will open at Dare Arts on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 6pm with an opening reception from 6-8pm at Dare Arts. The show will remain open during normal gallery hours Tuesday - Saturday from February 8 to March 1 from 10 am - 5 pm (T-F) and 10am - 4 pm on Saturdays. In February Dare Arts Vault Gallery will feature a retrospective exhibit curated by Vice President, Rebecca Watkins and Board Member, David Beal. People that visit Fifty Years of Dare Arts, A Retrospective will be able to learn about the history of Dare Arts, including notable local icons Mollie Fearing and Frank Stick. The exhibit also highlights the many art events hosted in the community like Artrageous and Outer Banks Veterans Week, as well as programs like the Power of Art. Each panel is filled with photographs and interactive links where visitors might get a chance to see their favorite familiar faces from Dare Arts events over the past fifty years. Fifty Years of Dare Arts, A Retrospective will be on display in the Vault Gallery February 7-March 1, 2025. The exhibit is FREE and open to the public.
Come to the Seaside Art Gallery for the Animals in Art Show (2025). This show runs February 1st – 29th, 2025. An opening reception will be held February 6th from 5pm-7pm. When you buy art from this warmhearted show, you make a difference in the lives of animals. All the proceeds from the purchase of Greeting A New Day by Sue Wall will go to the Outer Banks Coastal Humane Society.10% of the proceeds from the show will go to the Coastal Humane Society.

These specialized sessions help to guide older students in selecting roles that match their talents. Participants will receive original monologues, one comedic and one dramatic, written and tailored just for them. With focus on mastering the pieces, paying close attention to beats, timing, volume, and other essential skills required for a successful audition.
This workshop is for students in Six through Twelfth grades. The workshop includes six sessions, per student, beginning January 6 through February 14. Participants, and their families, will be able to schedule hour-long sessions that best suit their schedules.
