Come see Outer Banks artist Debi Tucker of Rising Sun Studio. She has been creating beach-themed art since 2014. Combining art and function, her ocean-inspired resin art works have a fluidity and dimension that results in each piece being a one-of-a-kind. Her Lazy Susans and Charcuterie Boards are classic examples of functional works of art. Other beach décor includes resin mirrors, sand dollar wreaths, decorative surfboards, and colorful mosaics. Debi's original note cards, crafted from flowers and available in print, as well as her acrylic paintings reflect her beach life.

The Holiday Chefs’ Challenge

Local Outer Banks Chefs compete for the title of "Prince or Princess of Canned Goods" and "Count or Countess of Confections" at this fun event for a wonderful cause hosted by Beach Food Pantry. The Holiday Chefs' Challenge is a chance for locals and visitors to taste amazing creations from local chefs while also funding solutions to feed the most vulnerable among us - children, seniors and families in crisis. Each participating chef has 60 minutes to cook a dish using items that the Beach Food Pantry would normally keep in stock. At least one of the items used must be a canned good. Both judges and attendees vote for their favorite dishes.
